Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Patient Care: Assist the veterinarian during examinations, provide restraint as needed, and prepare and administer treatments as prescribed.
  • Sample Collection and Preparation: Collect, prepare, and label samples for laboratory testing, culture, or microscopic examination.
  • Surgical Support: Assist in prepping patients for surgery and obtain radiographs of animals with knowledge of proper positioning and techniques.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Ensure a comfortable and sanitary environment for all patients, including the care of boarding and hospitalized patients.
  • Communication: Communicate with pet owners using a professional, compassionate, and helpful attitude, using knowledge of preventative health care recommendations to accurately answer questions and relay doctor's information.
Requirements
  • Certified Veterinary Technician: Current license required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of veterinary experience.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Realize the importance of teamwork and communication.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
  • Animal Handling: Experience properly handling and restraining animals.
