Quality System Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality System Engineer to join our team at ECS (Equus Compute Solutions). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and will play a key role in maintaining our ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities for 3rd party certification compliance, including UL, TuV, and CCC certifications.
  • Manage the internal audit function, including creating and managing audit schedules, developing audit plans, and completing final audit reports.
  • Assist in all external ISO 9001 audit activities, including site audit preparation, liaison with the auditing body, and ensuring nonconformities are addressed.
  • Oversee and manage training record administration, including setting up training activities, retraining intervals, and monitoring missed and overdue training.
  • Manage the ESD program and calibration activities in Propel QMS software.
  • Assist with document control activities in Propel QMS software, including creating, reviewing, and approving Engineering and Documentation Changes (ECOs and DCOs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis using the 8D process for implementing effective and timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Contribute to the QMS Management Reviews.
  • Manage the inspection functions and develop sampling and inspection plans.
  • Work with the supply chain on quality and other issues from suppliers to improve supplier performance and issue SCARs as appropriate.
  • Assist in developing and supporting KPI and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Certified auditor (lead or internal) for ISO 9001:2015.
  • Familiar with computer architecture, software, and firmware.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 internal and external auditing, formal lead auditor training a plus.
  • Functional knowledge of ISO-9001, ANSI ESD-2020, and other Quality Systems standards.
  • Experience with RCCA/Problem Solving/Failure Analysis.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years as a quality professional.
  • 3 years in a decision-making role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships with various departments within the company and with our customer and supplier bases.
  • Thrive in developing results through team collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to compile complex data efficiently, and effective skills in hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Strong oral and written communications with excellent presentation and training skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to interface with all levels of business, positively, effectively, and successfully.
  • Utilizes visual management for problem resolution.
  • Team-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
