Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Histotechnician Lead to join our team at QualDerm Partners, LLC. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of tissue specimens for routine and special procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lab Operations
    • Oversee the daily operations of the histology laboratory, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of tissue specimens.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tissue Preparation
    • Prepare tissue specimens for routine and special procedures, including histology, cytology, and molecular pathology.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of tissue specimens, including fixation, dehydration, and embedding.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
    • Conduct quality control checks on tissue specimens and laboratory equipment.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and training on laboratory procedures and techniques.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure laboratory staff are competent in laboratory procedures and techniques.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Completion of a histotechnician training program and eligibility to take the certification exam.
  • 1 year of experience in a histology laboratory, preferably in a dermatology practice or office.
