Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Systems Engineering group, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our X-Band Radar technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Systems Verification Lead in requirements verification tasks and scope planning, creating milestones, and scheduling competing task priorities.
  • Strengthen the team's data analysis, requirements verification, software development, and collaboration with internal and external customers.
  • Develop scenarios to support testing, data analysis, and software development.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to resolve radar technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, and/or Unix.
  • Experience with Doors and System Integration, test, and/or Verification.
  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to compile, summarize, and present data analysis to internal and external stakeholders, including program leadership and external customers.
  • Experience with risk and opportunity, coach teams in agile and DevSecOps processes, implement (or maintain) agile methodologies, and support execution of the team's backlog including performance analysis and issue investigation.
  • Experience facilitating daily standup meetings, monthly sprint reviews, quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning meetings, retrospectives, and implementing best practices for predicable/repeatable workflows.
  • Support team in managing capacity, removing impediments, estimating task sizing, verifying backlog readiness for planning and execution, tracking/reporting team agile metrics, and facilitating new process and technology integration.
  • Experience with X-Band Radar analysis tools, hands-on root cause identification, corrective action implementation and verification, and working with customers to plan and execute program test activities.
  • Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI.
