Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Integration and Test Engineer to join our team at STR. As a key member of our Systems Development Division, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and verification of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, with a focus on multi-function Radar systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead integration and test activities on complex systems, including leading teams, supporting field tests, and integrating hardware/software on platforms at customer sites.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and associated test infrastructure to ensure solutions meet customer expectations.
  • Identify new technical approaches and work with leadership to create/refine technology/product roadmaps.
  • Effectively use tools to create, evaluate, and document solutions and clearly communicate the solution to the team, STR management, and customers.
  • Collaborate with fellow researchers and engineers on multi-disciplinary teams to understand customer objectives and develop innovative solutions to complex and challenging national security problems.
Requirements
  • Understanding and direct experience in the integration and test of hardware and software systems as related to electro and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of the principles of design, development, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, data analysis, and operations support as related to the systems mentioned above.
  • Ability to survey literature to determine state-of-the-art solutions and incorporate them to current problem sets.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering high-level briefings to Customers and senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, technical, and peer-leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Master's degree with 8+ years of applicable experience; or PhD with 5+ years of applicable experience.
