Your Responsibilities
- Conduct programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of HVAC control systems, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control components.
- Respond to service requests and warranty issues utilizing Johnson Controls' configuration tools and a variety of hand tools, including electrical testing devices.
- Deliver technical support and repair assistance through effective communication with our clients.
- Recommend system repairs or updates and assist in proposing solutions to our customers.

- Provide exceptional service to our clients, addressing building inefficiencies and resolving service-related issues. As a trusted advisor, you will deliver solutions and outcomes during service calls.
How You Will Achieve This
- Load and configure Johnson Controls field and network-level controller software.
- Perform commissioning and diagnostics for all system controllers and end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) while completing necessary documentation.
- Keep management and clients informed about job progress and any issues encountered.
- Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Document changes and provide information for as-built records.
- Engage in company-sponsored and self-initiated training to maintain a high level of expertise.
- Interact with clients to fully understand their systems and requirements.
- Communicate with clients upon arrival and before leaving the job site.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in required safety training, prioritizing the safety of yourself and subcontractors.
- Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure efficient facility operations, including upselling opportunities.
- Provide estimates to support your recommendations and solutions.
Qualifications We Seek
Essential
- Completion of a Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, along with three years of industry experience, or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems within the HVAC sector.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, their sequences, and applications.
- Proven technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical disciplines.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment such as multimeters.
- Solid knowledge of personal computer usage.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and listening abilities.
