We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Global Technical Talent. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling inset lights and components by performing various tasks in a stationary work cell.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble products using various hand tools according to specifications and standards, ensuring high-quality results and adhering to production schedules.
- Material Handling: Handle and move parts from storage locations to work cells, and assist the Material Handler in obtaining parts as necessary.
- Quality Inspection: Perform individual quality inspections throughout the assembly process, marking and setting aside parts with obvious defects and informing the Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead, including reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other production paperwork.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Authorization to Work: Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Geographical Location: Must reside in the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of Windsor, CT.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety policies.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other production paperwork, and comprehend and follow instructions.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles: Must be able to apply lean manufacturing principles to improve assembly operations.
- Flexibility: Must be flexible and willing to learn and perform a variety of tasks, including working overtime and being flexible when required.
- Assembly Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Shift Schedule: 1st shift, 6am-2:30pm, with overtime.
