Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Equiliem. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling products using various hand tools according to specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble products using hand tools, including power screwdrivers, screwdrivers, rivet machines, crimping tools, and other equipment.
- Work from sample fixtures and adhere to production schedules as determined by the Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Handle and move parts from storage locations to the work cell.
- Assist the Material Handler in obtaining parts as necessary.
- Perform individual quality inspection throughout the assembly process, marking and setting aside parts with obvious defects and informing the Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Reside in the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of Windsor, CT.
- Wear all Personal Protective Equipment required and comply with all Safety policies.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other production paperwork.
- Comprehend and follow instructions and train others accordingly.
- Identify components that meet quality standards.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve assembly operations.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Work overtime and be flexible when required.
- Flexible and willing to learn and perform a variety of tasks.
- A minimum of one (1) year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
