Job Summary

The Mechanical Assembler position at TLD America is responsible for assembling preformed sheet metal parts using various equipment and tools. The ideal candidate will also be assembling and pressure testing valves and similar components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install preformed sheet metal parts using drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, and other equipment.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring personal safety and the safety of fellow employees.
  • Assemble and pressure test valves and similar components.
  • Interpret assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Document work completed on manufacturing and production travelers.
Requirements
  • Experience in assembling preformed sheet metal parts and using mechanical equipment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain and climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in and around areas with limited space.
  • Availability to work second shift (Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm).
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and measuring scales or tape proficiently.
  • Ability to work in a team or solo environment.
  • Familiarity with tablets and computers.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
