Job Overview:

As a Cashier at California Fish Grill, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome customers warmly and accurately take their food orders.
  2. Process transactions efficiently, ensuring the correct amount is charged for each menu item.
  3. Handle cash and provide accurate change for every transaction.
  4. Assist customers with gift card requests and ensure they are processed correctly.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu and pricing to assist customers effectively.
  6. Engage with guests in a friendly and prompt manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  7. Make necessary corrections to orders swiftly and accurately.
  8. Identify counterfeit currency and manage related situations appropriately.
  9. Verify age requirements before serving alcoholic beverages.
  10. Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service.
  11. Present yourself in a clean and professional manner, adhering to uniform standards.
  12. Keep your work area organized and clean at all times.
  13. Maintain and clean equipment used during service.
  14. Complete training and adhere to attendance and dress code policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of relevant experience in cashier or food service roles. A valid Food Handler Certification is preferred.

Working Conditions:

This position is based in a restaurant environment, requiring flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed. Frequent standing, reaching, and lifting are essential components of the role.
