Job Title: Lead Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician to join our team at Lightspeed Restoration of Orlando Northeast. As a Lead Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a crew, controlling job costs, production times, and quality assurance, and acting as the primary point of contact for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of mold remediation, water damage cleanup, installation of preventative moisture control solutions, and HVAC and dryer vent cleaning per written scope of work.
  • Provide strong leadership to ensure successful, safe, timely, and profitable project delivery and completion.
  • Manage documentation on projects, including photos, contracts, and other relevant information.
  • Respond to emergency recovery situations when needed, 24/7.
  • Work safely in a team environment and ensure all safety measures are enforced on the job site.
  • Acquire permits and coordinate inspections as necessary.
  • Maintain timely and accurate flow of production reporting from technicians to Project Manager.
  • Procure and deliver materials to the job site on time and maintain adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and discharging Technicians.
  • Obtain certificate of satisfaction after performing punch list with customer.
  • Give customer invoice and obtain payment.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with customers and conduct in-home inspections.
  • Attend trade seminars and workshops.
  • Confirm OSHA and safety standards are followed on all jobs.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in home services or construction fields.
  • Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices is a strong plus.
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a Team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Ability to operate PC and mobile devices.
  • Exhibit a professional, neat appearance.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record.
  • WRT and AMRT certification preferred. Willing to work with right candidate.
  • Water, Fire and Mold remediation and/or comparable industry experience.
Safety Gear Provided:
  • PPE.
  • Gloves (leather, nitrile, or coated cloth depending on application).
  • Safety Glasses or Goggles.
  • N-95 Respirators.
  • Poly Spun Tyvek style suits with hood and foot protection.
  • Shoe Covers, Knee Pads, and Muck Boots.
  • Hard Hats, Ear Protection, and steel-toe shoes may be required, depending on site application.
  • Fall protection for aerial work.
