Job Overview:Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Chemistry and Math Tutors. This position is designed for those who are passionate about education and eager to assist students in achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating both scheduled and walk-in tutoring sessions for students on course-related topics.
- Collaborating with instructors to enhance student learning experiences.
- Providing guidance to students in finding solutions to their academic inquiries.
- Documenting session notes and maintaining records of student progress.
- Reviewing and understanding current educational materials and textbooks.
- Completing assigned projects from management and assisting with operational tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of an Associate degree or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a professional environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- If a student, a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 or a GPA of 2.5 with an 'A' grade in the subjects being tutored is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tutoring or teaching roles.
- Familiarity with diverse learning strategies and educational methodologies.
