Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and productivity of our pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include filling prescription items, labeling products, participating in inventory management, and communicating with internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fills prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards
  • Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
  • Participates in periodic inventory of the pharmacy
  • May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory
  • Prepares medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding
  • Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner
  • May process returned medications from facilities for credit or destruction
  • Assists in training new employees
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Ability to recognize and identify medications
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, effective oral communication
  • Pharmacy Technician license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Long-term care pharmacy experience
