Overview

Fairview Health Services is actively seeking casual Anesthesiology physicians to become part of a growing practice. The selected candidates will provide high-acuity tertiary care within a community hospital framework. Practice Highlights:

  • Collaborate with a team of 8 anesthesiologists and employed CRNAs.
  • Diverse case load including: cardiac, general surgical (open and laparoscopic), robotics, spine and orthopedic, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization lab cases (including TAVRs and ablations), C-sections, gynecological, and urological procedures.
  • Annual case volume exceeding 7,000, in addition to catheter lab procedures.
  • Facility features 184 beds, including a 20-bed ICU, Short Stay Unit, Level 3A NICU, a busy obstetrics practice with 2 OB OR suites, a high-volume emergency department, interventional radiology, MRI, and CT services.
  • On-call: on-premises availability required.
  • Utilize a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record system (EPIC).
  • As a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), our providers adopt a multidisciplinary team approach to managing clinical care.

Position Responsibilities:

To cater to the needs of our expanding community, St. John's Hospital offers innovative technologies and services, including an intensivist program (on-site critical care physician specialists), 24-hour in-house obstetrics coverage, and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). As a community hospital, St. John's is part of a larger healthcare campus, providing convenient access and ample parking.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Anesthesiology residency training program.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria for Credentialing and Privileges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is preferred.
