About the Role

Xylem is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for setting department budgets, managing expenses, and leading workforce planning initiatives.

As a Service Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for customer requirements, translating their needs into actionable workforce plans and objectives. You will also be responsible for creating onsite visibility into KPIs and metrics, providing input to management, and leveraging region-wide resources to ensure successful customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization
  • Define and drive customer management, employee management, safety management, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment
  • Operational and strategic management, with autonomy to make decisions that impact divisional and cross-functional commercial span of control
  • Ensure cost/revenue support the financial goals of the P&L
  • Provide proactive direction to commercial teams to ensure service center objectives are achieved
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors across organizational boundaries, including candid communication, collaboration, developing people, embracing DEI, and innovation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; or equivalent military experience; or applicable industry equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 to 7 years of technical work experience or 3 years of industry-specific experience or combined with 3 years of leadership/management experience
  • Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
  • Industrial or commercial process water experience required
  • Proficiency with computers and business software, such as Microsoft Office, Skype, Oracle/SAP, cloud-based solutions
  • People management, ability to communicate up/down/across, lead and motivate teams, demonstrate critical thinking and complex troubleshooting
