Position Overview:

As an SLPA contracted through Soliant Education, you will operate under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist students with their speech and language requirements. Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of therapy services, executing treatment plans, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the speech-language program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Therapy Sessions: Support the provision of speech and language therapy to students as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Execute Treatment Plans: Implement individualized treatment strategies designed by the supervising SLP.
  • Track Progress: Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and ensure records are up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with the supervising SLP, educators, and other school personnel to support student development and address emerging needs.
  • Engage with Students: Create a positive and supportive atmosphere to help students reach their communication objectives.
  • Assist in Evaluations: Aid in conducting assessments and collecting data necessary for student evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related discipline.
  • Certification: Valid SLPA license or certification in the relevant state.
  • Experience: Prior experience in an educational environment or working with children is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with a capacity to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
