ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled and compassionate School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and contribute to our commitment to enhancing students' communication and learning abilities.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to provide exceptional speech and language therapy services to students with diverse needs. The successful candidate will assess students' speech and language abilities, develop and implement individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support each student's educational and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language skills and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals based on assessment findings and student needs.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, including articulation therapy, language intervention, and communication strategies, and design and implement therapeutic activities to improve students' communication abilities and support their academic success.
  • Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom environment and daily routines, and participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for communication supports and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, therapy plans, and session notes, and prepare reports for IEP meetings, progress reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and special education, and engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience in a school-based setting or working with children with diverse needs, and experience with IEP development and implementation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, techniques, and best practices, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to supporting the communication and developmental growth of students, and demonstrates a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
