Job Summary:

The Senior BSA/AML Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in upholding the Bank's compliance framework related to BSA/AML regulations. This position is integral in ensuring adherence to federal and state laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act, while following the institution's internal policies to mitigate risk.

This role involves being part of a specialized team dedicated to conducting investigations that vary in complexity. Analysts will engage in thorough research and detailed examination of accounts, utilizing the Bank's Case Management System to assess potential risks.

Key responsibilities include monitoring accounts for suspicious or unusual activities, reviewing AML Risk Assessment forms, and preparing comprehensive documentation for Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and case investigations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


Compensation Range:
$58,000 - $107,500.00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a team to review and investigate alerts and cases using the Bank's Case Management System.
  • Evaluate Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation.
  • Conduct Continuing Activity Reviews and ensure timely completion of Suspicious Activity Reports in compliance with FinCEN regulations.
  • Perform due diligence on customer accounts and escalate negative findings to management.
  • Analyze suspicious activity monitoring reports and compile case files with supporting documentation.
  • Review AML Risk Assessment Forms and recommend actions for potentially suspicious activities.
  • Engage with branch personnel to verify customer information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current BSA/AML regulations and guidance.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment aimed at enhancing analytical and reporting processes.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in banking or financial investigations.
  • Experience in BSA/AML compliance preferred.
  • ACAMS Certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Solid understanding of OFAC, BSA/AML regulations, and risk management principles.
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and BSA monitoring tools.
  • Proficient internet research skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
