Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Concrete Mixer Operator to join our team at American Rock Products, a CRH company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver high-quality concrete to various construction sites in the area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report any maintenance or repair issues.
  • Be able to ingress and egress the truck by navigating 2 steps with grab bars present.
  • Manipulate the truck's steering wheel, shifter, and other levers and knobs necessary for operation.
  • Ensure quality of product delivered, slump, etc.
  • Maintain communication with the dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries.
  • Collect money from customers and record transactions on customer receipts.
  • Inform customers of new products or services and respond to customer questions related to basic product knowledge and concrete construction techniques.
Requirements
  • Current Class A or B CDL with self-certification of non-excepted interstate and current DOT medical card.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude in a team environment and willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays.
  • Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with supervisors, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other employees.
