Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Concrete Mixer Operator to join our team at American Rock Products, a CRH company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver high-quality concrete to various construction sites in the area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report any maintenance or repair issues.
  • Operate the ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites, following dispatch instructions and obeying applicable laws.
  • Ensure the quality of the delivered concrete, slump, and other relevant factors.
  • Maintain communication with the dispatcher regarding deliveries and check delivery tickets for special instructions.
  • Collect money from customers and record transactions on customer receipts.
  • Inform customers of new products or services and respond to customer questions related to basic product knowledge and concrete construction techniques.
  • Monitor various gauges during operation and investigate abnormalities, performing operator maintenance and minor field repairs as needed.
  • Record sales and delivery information and maintain operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations.
Requirements
  • Current Class A or B CDL with self-certification of non-excepted interstate and current DOT medical card.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Positive attitude in a team environment and willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with supervisors, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other employees.
  • Good internal and external customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Good performance, safety, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
