Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lowbed Driver to join our team at Allan Myers. As a Lowbed Driver, you will be responsible for transporting large construction equipment and materials to customers or job site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area.
  • Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Communicate any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions.
  • Load and unload heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Valid class A Commercial Drivers License is required for Low bed, low boy.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
  • Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain composure in all situations.
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions to locations.
Working Conditions

This position requires prolonged sitting followed by hooking up, loading, and unloading equipment. Requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity. Must be able to drive for long periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs.

Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
