Position Overview: Responsible for overseeing the review of batch records and raw materials for both in-process and finished products at Innovations in Nutrition and Wellness. This role ensures that all raw materials and batches are produced, tested, and verified in accordance with product specification quality requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) before they are released.
Key Responsibilities: To maintain the quality and safety of products, the following functions will be performed:
- Facilitate employee training on quality processes, procedures, standards, and safety protocols, or delegate training to seasoned staff.
- Propose or implement strategies to enhance employee motivation and improve product quality and process efficiency.
- Document and supervise the maintenance of operational and production data on designated forms.
- Enforce safety and quality compliance regulations.
- Review and authorize all manufacturing and packaging batch records, as well as product releases.
- Generate customer Certificates of Analysis.
- Conduct in-process evaluations of materials, operational documentation, processes, samples, etc.
- Manage the archival system for batch records, ensuring timely closure, initiation, and retrieval of archived documents.
- Oversee inspection, sampling, and supporting releases, including the release of raw materials and products, to assist QA/QC operations.
- Adhere strictly to all cGMP guidelines.
- Interpret work orders and production schedules to ascertain product specifications, materials required, weights, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Record quality, operational, and production data on specified forms.
- Provide insights or indications of issues to Production/Quality Management.
- Collaborate with management to address employee issues, complaints, or grievances.
- Perform all duties safely and report any unsafe conditions or actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Mathematical Skills – Proficient in arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, decimals, and percentages.
- Language Skills – Ability to articulate complex concepts in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Computer Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant business software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Competent in monitoring, analyzing, critical thinking, and active listening.
- Exhibit leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others, with a strong focus on detail, quality orientation, problem sensitivity, problem-solving, and initiative.
- Familiarity with food production processes, cGMP regulations, and data entry systems.
