Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of the Mistras Quality Assurance Program. This position requires a strong understanding of quality management principles and the ability to coordinate activities to implement and maintain the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure the program's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the Nonconforming Material process and perform data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the Calibration/Recall systems for tools and equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action process, performing data analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and approve specifications, contracts, purchase orders, and job travelers to ensure process accuracy.
  • Answer customer questions, provide records, and document customer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the approval of suppliers, procurement of quality items and services, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the personnel qualification and certification process, maintaining records and working with NDT Level III certifiers.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new procedures based on specification requirements within the company.
  • Ensure changes to the Quality Assurance Program are documented by revising affected documents or reviewing revised documents.
Requirements:
  • Quality-related experience, with exposure to metal finishing processes, NDT, and aerospace prime contractors.
  • HAZMAT certification.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Group facilitation skills.
  • The ability to solve problems and work without direct supervision.
  • The successful candidate must be able to deal with diverse work groups and work overtime as needed.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
