Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer to be an integral member of our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems, performing design calculations, and reviewing submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electrical systems and perform design calculations
  • Review and sign off on projects
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Prepare record drawings, conduct site visits, and participate in commissioning work
  • Write and edit electrical equipment specifications, select equipment, and ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget
Requirements:
  • 5-10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry
  • Valid Electrical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Engineering in Training certification considered)
  • Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems, including interactive generator controls systems
  • Experience with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail, combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit
