At Universal Health Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at our Main Campus in Atlanta. As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for supervising and evaluating the quality and performance of the nursing department, developing and implementing standards of nursing practice and care, and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate the quality and performance of the nursing department.
  • Develop and implement standards of nursing practice and care.
  • Ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy contractor and medical staff to ensure that medication and administration systems comply with laws, regulations, and professional standards of practice.
  • Approve and audit medical record documentation methods for nursing care.
  • Ensure that ongoing education and training on relevant clinical topics and skill development are provided to nursing staff.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health and addiction disorders is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and/or Master's degree is preferred.
  • Unencumbered Nursing License from the state of Georgia or Cooperative Multi-State Compact.
