This role operates under a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Analysis and Implementation: Evaluate, migrate, and deploy computer applications, systems, and network configurations. Design, document, and script intricate new software installations.
  • Technical Standards and Improvement: Work collaboratively to set technical standards for workstations and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Oversee system performance to ensure peak functionality.

Endpoint Manager Administration:

  • Establish and manage endpoint boundary groups across distribution points.
  • Conduct general monitoring of site health through SSRS, log files, and the Endpoint Manager console.
  • Execute in-console and client agent upgrades.
  • Administer and configure user and device collections, creating query-based collections.
  • Technical Issue Escalation: Direct and escalate technical issues to the appropriate support teams. Collaborate with technicians on root cause analysis and communicate effectively regarding end-user support.
  • Project Support: Engage in and provide assistance with IT and business initiatives.
  • System Oversight: Maintain oversight of all systems managed by the Desktop Support Engineering team.
  • User Consultation: Analyze reported issues, including user consultations. Serve as the escalation point for technical concerns.
  • Testing Management: Oversee testing activities for workstations, laptops, VMs, and other systems across the enterprise for patching and vulnerabilities.
  • Service Desk Monitoring: Monitor the desktop services engineering queue through the service desk system to ensure satisfaction and address incidents and requests in line with SLAs.
  • Operating System Deployment: Manage the configuration site collection maintenance for Windows Configuration power management rules. Deploy operating system images (primarily Windows 10) via Endpoint Manager OSD, including:
  • Configuration of WDS, PXE, VM build environment, and integration with MDT and Tanium Provision System.
  • Build, capture, and update Windows 10 and 11 images.
  • Manage distribution points accordingly.
  • Create deployment task sequences.
  • High-Level Troubleshooting: Provide advanced troubleshooting for technical issues.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for Windows Desktop OS.
  • Expertise in Endpoint Manager (formerly SCCM) and/or Tanium.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Python and/or other programming languages is advantageous.
  • Experience with JAMF Pro administration is a plus.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for MacOS is an added benefit.

  • Security+ preferred or equivalent.
  • Network+ preferred or equivalent.
  • JAMF 100, 200, 300, 400 certifications are a plus.

Location and Compensation:

  • This is a hybrid position (onsite 3 days a week).
