- As an Animal Transport Specialist, you will play a vital role in shelter operations, responsible for the safe transportation of animals to various locations, including off-site adoption events and shelter facilities.
- You will ensure that the movement of adoptable animals aligns with the behavioral and medical criteria of each location.
- Additional responsibilities may include assisting shelter personnel with transportation needs, including delivering supplies and mail.
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Must be 21 years of age
- One year of prior work experience
- Experience with animal handling is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- All Transport positions require driving AHS vehicles and are designated as safety sensitive. Candidates must have an acceptable driving record and the ability to pass drug and background screening.
In this role, you will frequently drive vehicles, stand, walk, sit, and use your hands to handle objects and tools. You may need to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. The work environment may include exposure to dust, temperature changes, and animal noises. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
