Animal Care and Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care and Experience Specialist to join our team at the Arizona Humane Society. As a key member of our shelter team, you will play a vital role in providing industry-leading care and enrichment for our animals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide complete care for shelter animals, including cleaning and sanitizing facilities and animal habitats.
- Feed, water, and maintain animal habitats in accordance with departmental and organizational standards.
- Guide and work alongside volunteers and new team members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Adhere to all established workflows and procedures to ensure the needs of the animals, the department, and the organization are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service or animal experience preferred.
- Proficiency with or ability to learn/use Chameleon software for use with animals in shelter.
- Comprehensive knowledge of animal care and experience procedures.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment may include occasional wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander.
