Job Description

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Electrical/Computer Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex RF systems and electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, define, analyze, and generate complex specifications for test conduction, coordination of systems and analyses, proposal submittal, and performance of applied research and development in one or more of the following areas:
  • RF systems requirements generation
  • RF hardware development
  • RF design and development
  • RF systems integration and testing

You will also be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing solutions to complex technical problems associated with the analysis, design, development, operation, and/or modification of RF engineering products and services.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Six+ (6+) years of experience working as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer in development, design, and prototyping requirements OR six+ (6+) years of experience working as a Computer Engineer in development, design, and prototyping requirements

Additionally, you will need to have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Threat System Analysis
  • Model development to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking and signal processing
  • RF signals processing
  • RF algorithms/logic
  • System performance assessments of major subsystems including but not limited to phased array antennas, transmitters and receivers, RF signal processors and computer algorithms/logic

You will also need to have demonstrated experience programming and configured one or more of the following:

  • Microcontrollers
  • Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
  • System on a Chip (SoC)
  • Platform on a Module (PoM)
  • Single board computers such as VME, VPX, and PXI

Experience designing and developing one or more of the following is also required:

  • RF Cable Assemblies
  • Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)

Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills are also required.

Desired Skills:
  • Eight (8) years of experience working as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer or Computer Engineer in development, design, and prototyping requirements
  • Six (6) years experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs
  • Experience developing RF components in lab and shipboard environments
  • Proficiency in the one or more of the following toolsets:
  • Modeling Software: MATLAB, SimuLink, MathCAD
  • Radar Signal and Data Processing Toolsets
