We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our team at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide crisis intervention, conduct emergency department psychiatric assessments, and coordinate with on-call psychiatrists and emergency department physicians to determine appropriate levels of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough emergency department psychiatric assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
- Collaborate with on-call psychiatrists and emergency department physicians to determine appropriate levels of care.
- Obtain insurance authorization for inpatient psychiatric admissions and arrange for transfers and discharges as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Work as a member of a cohesive multidisciplinary treatment team to meet the needs of patients and their families/significant others.
- Complete the Audit C-Alcohol Screening Questionnaire, Audit C-Addiction questions, and Audit C-follow-up as part of the emergency department psychiatric assessment.
- Master of Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work.
- Licensed Social Worker in NYS as either a LMSW (required) or LCSW (preferred).
- ED Psychiatric Experience preferred.
