MNGI Digestive Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and room patients, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Interview patients to obtain medical history and vital signs, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform delegated medical functions, including phlebotomy and administering injections, under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Stock and clean exam rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Document patient information in electronic health records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with patient education, providing clear and concise instructions on care plans and discharge procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Diploma or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Basic life support certification and ability to obtain any necessary certifications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
