Role Overview:
We are seeking a Client Relationship Manager for our Compression Systems and Services division. This role involves spearheading equipment sales and service activities within a designated territory. Responsibilities include quoting, strategizing, prospecting, and nurturing relationships to meet revenue goals, enhance profitability, expand market presence, and ensure customer loyalty while aligning with organizational objectives. This position uniquely combines support for a major distributor with direct sales to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation: Drive sales of equipment, service contracts, and offerings to a defined customer base. Expand the existing customer network and secure new competitive accounts to strengthen Ingersoll Rand's market presence. Develop tailored compressed air solutions to meet industrial customer requirements, including equipment, service contracts, parts, and energy audits. Stay updated on product knowledge and industry standards, executing strategies for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction while achieving sales targets.
- Capability Development: Provide training on sales techniques and product/service knowledge to dealer sales personnel and customer center staff. Collaborate with the services team to understand products and anticipate customer needs effectively.
- Financial Management: Ensure all orders are processed accurately with the correct documentation. Resolve customer disputes promptly and manage costs associated with sales efforts, including travel and entertainment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols in the field and within the customer center.
- Customer Loyalty: Foster customer loyalty through cross-functional collaboration. Partner with the service team to troubleshoot issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Database Management: Maintain the Customer Relationship Management database, documenting customer interactions, assets, agreements, and opportunities. Track sales pipeline activities and provide market feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience in an industrial sales environment.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Regular travel to customer sites within the assigned territory is necessary.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Essential Skills:
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain solid relationships with customers and team members.
- Self-motivated, honest, and team-oriented.
- Capable of working independently and within a team.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge is essential.
