Speech Language Pathologist

Davidson County Schools is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and be eligible for NC Licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize a program that addresses local school speech-language goals
Serve on committees, such as curriculum development committee, school-based committees, and/or speech-language program development meetings
Schedule interventions using a variety of service delivery models, including comprehensive services
Collaborate with school personnel, such as teachers and psychologists, to best meet the needs of all students
Maintain records of the speech-language program and prepares periodic reports as required
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
Eligible for NC Licensure
Eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence
Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Some positions assigned to this class may require light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
