**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Supportive Education Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of children enrolled in our Early Childhood Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Curriculum Planning and Implementation:** Assist in developing and implementing educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of our young learners.
  • **Child Supervision and Safety:** Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, providing a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • **Meal Preparation and Diapering/Toileting:** Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and provide essential care services such as diapering and toileting.
  • **Learning Support:** Support children's learning skills and engage them in daily activities that promote their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
Essential Functions
  • **Child Development and Health:** Supervise and monitor children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • **Professional Development:** Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
  • **Team Collaboration:** Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of educational programs and policies.
  • **Crisis Management:** Respond to crisis situations in a calm and professional manner, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
Requirements
  • **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • **Experience:** Preference given to candidates with experience working with young children.
  • **Licenses and Certifications:** Valid Ohio Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • **Other Requirements:** Ability to lift 40 pounds, audio and visual skills for child care, physical exam, and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • **Center-Based Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential:** Possession of a CDA credential or a qualifying degree.
  • **Child Development Associate (CDA) or Qualifying Degree:** Possession of a CDA or a qualifying degree.
  • **Experience Working with Young Children:** Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood education setting.
  • **CDL Pre-Service Training:** Willingness to complete CDL pre-service training.
Working Conditions

The Supportive Education Assistant position involves working with preschool-age children, requiring lifting and bending, occasional overnight stays for professional development, and moderate to high levels of stress.
