Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Stotz Equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective diagnosis and repair of engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other equipment sold in the market area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engine components, including small engines, agricultural equipment, and other equipment sold in the market area.
  • Work safely, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  • Act as an ambassador of the company, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  • Perform daily duties, including customer contact, diagnosing, troubleshooting, making repairs, and acting as an ambassador of the company.
  • Work in the field, on occasion, work will be completed in the shop.
Requirements
  • 4 to 6 years of diesel mechanic experience in a shop or in the field.
  • Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the repair of John Deere equipment.
  • Must own and maintain their own tools.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible to respond to after-hour calls.
  • Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 to 6 years of John Deere experience.

Hearing ability is sufficient to communicate with others in person or over the phone.

Light to moderate lifting may be required (up to 25 pounds).

Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed.

Education

Required: High School or better.
