Role Overview: As a Lead Security Solutions Architect at Elastic, you will act as a key technical expert and trusted consultant for our sales teams, clients, partners, and the broader community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and addressing client business challenges using the Elastic Stack.
  • Engaging with the regional Elastic community through various events and initiatives.
  • Facilitating sales efforts through collaboration with our partners.

A successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence, proactively seeking opportunities for personal and team development through continuous learning and challenging existing practices.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, both legacy and next-gen.
  • Familiarity with technology solutions that have been widely adopted in recent years.
  • Understanding of audit requirements for various data sources to drive use cases and success metrics.
  • Knowledge of integration processes between security solutions and SIEM/logging platforms.
  • Experience in deploying and troubleshooting solutions on Linux-based network appliances.
  • Proficiency in Windows Authentication and Active Directory/LDAP.
  • Expertise in Behavioral Analytics and Machine Learning, particularly in relation to enhancing incident response through anomaly detection.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Network and Security Solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience with cloud, SaaS, and hybrid architectures.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell, Bash), SQL, and regular expressions.
  • Understanding of Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) and third-party solutions utilized in daily incident response.
  • Over 10 years of experience in network and security engineering.
  • Awareness of the current threat landscape and the challenges faced by organizations.
  • Experience with Red and Blue Team exercises and related tools.
  • Background in network and security forensic analysis is advantageous.
  • Solid grasp of TCP/IP, network analysis, troubleshooting, and security operations.

Sales Acumen:

  • Ability to independently identify and qualify technical opportunities.
  • Familiarity with consultative selling techniques and their application in client engagements.
  • Experience conducting discovery sessions with clients to develop engagement plans that align use cases with success criteria.
  • Understanding of the roles within a security team and the stakeholders influencing technology investment decisions.
  • Knowledge of Security Operations Center (SOC) processes and workflows.
  • Ability to influence sales strategies and assess opportunity viability.
  • Sector-specific knowledge to enhance storytelling and provide relevant anecdotes during the sales process.
  • Proactive in generating pipeline ideas and engaging with the region on a quarterly basis.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of delivering compelling narratives during demonstrations.
  • Experience in responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) for technical solutions.
  • Participation in industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Collaboration with partner/channel teams for successful product evaluations.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Relevant educational background in information systems, computer science, or related fields is preferred.
  • Preferred security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC.
  • Possession of a Top-Secret clearance is a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits: The compensation structure for this position includes a base salary complemented by a variable component, forming the On-Target Earnings (OTE). The OTE is based on a 70/30 pay mix (base salary/target variable). The starting OTE range reflects our commitment to fair compensation based on various factors, including education, experience, and performance.
