POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cashier role is essential for delivering exceptional customer service, managing the point of sale (POS) system, and engaging in suggestive selling. This position requires extensive product knowledge, restocking merchandise, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.

The Cashier is also responsible for addressing the needs of customers and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE AND WORK LOCATION:

Cashiers must be flexible to work various shifts based on the staffing requirements of the store. Adjustments to schedules may be made to accommodate employee work restrictions.

Employees may also be asked to work at nearby locations as needed.

Full-time employees are expected to work 35 hours per week, while part-time employees work less than 35 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Proficient understanding of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a retail environment with point of sale systems.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, email software, and internet browsers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not involve supervisory duties.

TRAVEL:

This role does not require overnight travel. However, occasional travel to nearby store locations may be necessary based on company needs.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Deliver outstanding customer service by creating a welcoming environment, greeting customers, and maintaining high standards of service.Process all Point of Sale (POS) transactions accurately, including handling returns, voids, and cash management according to company policies.Complete safe drops, verify currency authenticity, and manage credit/debit card transactions in line with established procedures.Assist customers with gaming tickets and maintain cleanliness of gaming machines and self-serve areas.Complete necessary reporting and paperwork at the end of shifts, including balancing cash drawers and preparing deposits.Restock merchandise on shelves and coolers, assist with receiving deliveries, and maintain overall store cleanliness.Communicate maintenance issues and equipment problems to the Store Manager or Lead promptly.Assist technicians with troubleshooting equipment issues as needed.Maintain appropriate company uniform and professional appearance at all times.Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.
