Lead Store Operations Manager

About the Role
">This position is responsible for leading store operations, ensuring high-quality customer experiences, and driving sales growth. As a key member of the management team, you will oversee perishable and non-perishable departments, manage inventory, labor, and expenses, and maintain compliance with safety and food safety standards.

- Develop and lead a team of department managers and receivers, focusing on staff development, training, and performance appraisals.">
- Maintain strong communication channels with store teams and support area partners, addressing emergencies, crises, and resolving issues efficiently.">
- P&L ownership, managing inventory, labor, and expenses at optimum levels, meeting targets as a rate to sales.">
- Ensure federal, state, and company regulations are met or exceeded, maintaining a safe and clean work environment for employees and customers.">
- Drive sales growth, store experience execution, and employee engagement by anchoring on Educate and Enrich standards, including consistent 8+ store conditions, ad directives, top item knowledge, and department schematics.">
- Master fresh item management, perpetual inventory, computer-assisted ordering, and oversee invoicing from distribution centers and vendors.">
- Lead Receivers and backroom organization, cleanliness, and safety, verifying all products are fresh, labeled, and priced accurately.">
Requirements

- At least 21 years of age.">
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.">
- 1-3 years of retail experience; or acceptable combination of education and experience.">
- Demonstrated success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations, with skills in profit and loss, safety, sanitation, staffing, disciplinary actions, training, developing leaders, conducting performance appraisals, meeting deadlines, managing inventory and shrink, executing sales promotions, and merchandising.">
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, attention to detail, analytical, and solution-focused decisiveness.">
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and human resources software.">
- Flexible to work a schedule that changes based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.">
- Food Safety certification.">
- Able to lift 60 pounds between 15 inches and 70 inches above the ground, lifting heavier items occasionally.">
- Push and pull racks and U-boats of merchandise, requiring force ranges from 80 pounds to 100 pounds.">
- Stand on hard surfaces continuously, walk up to 2 miles, reach vertically to access upper levels, and transfer items horizontally.">
- Wear PPE consistent with task assignments, including non-slip, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and gloves (latex and/or cut-resistant).">
- Tools and equipment used include phone, computer, mouse, keyboard, ovens, freezers, meat and cheese cutters, grinders, scales, mixers, box cutters, scanners, cash register, carts, and pallet jacks.">
- Estimated salary: $83,129.00 - $127,261.00 / year.">
