Position Overview:
As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Operations Excellence Manager, your expertise will be vital in ensuring our products are manufactured efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that new products can be manufactured using methods that meet production standards related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes, procedures, and tooling for final assembly and related sub-assemblies.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within the production workflow.
- Design and maintain manufacturing work center layouts that optimize SQDC.
- Establish and uphold work standards, including production instructions that align with SQDC.
- Support minor adjustments identified by production teams during daily management.
- Lead structured improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen events) aimed at enhancing SQDC metrics.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience (3-5 years).
- Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in applying mathematical concepts to practical manufacturing scenarios.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and draw valid conclusions.
- Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions in various formats.
- Ability to manage multiple variables in a manufacturing environment.

Physical and Behavioral Requirements:
- Regular communication and interaction with team members.
- Frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Use of safety equipment is mandatory in production areas.
