Job Summary:

The Healthcare Operations Director provides oversight for all non-nursing aspects of the daily operations of one or more Green House style nursing homes. This role is responsible for guiding and coaching the self-managed work team, ensuring quality of services delivered to the elders. Key responsibilities include providing guidance and coaching to all members of the self-managed work team, providing feedback on quality and financial performance indicators, and guiding the team in quality improvement activities. Additionally, the Healthcare Operations Director is responsible for providing individual feedback to team members, including regular performance appraisals, hiring new team members, and terminating staff when necessary. The role also involves monitoring budget performance, reviewing payroll and non-payroll expense data monthly, and identifying training and resource needs of the home. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a coaching style of leadership and adept at relationship-building.

Responsibilities:

* Provide guidance and coaching to all members of the self-managed work team
* Provide feedback on quality and financial performance indicators
* Guide the team in quality improvement activities
* Provide individual feedback to team members, including regular performance appraisals
* Hire new team members and terminate staff when necessary
* Monitor budget performance and review payroll and non-payroll expense data monthly
* Identify training and resource needs of the home

Requirements:

* Experience as a manager preferably within the field of long-term care
* Preferable experience in a clinical area: therapy, social work, nursing, etc.
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Good knowledge of nursing home policies/procedures and regulations
* Proficiency with email and other computer skills

Working Conditions:

* Must be physically present in the home on a regular basis to enhance relationship-building
* Must be available via phone and occasionally in person outside of normal working hours
