Dishwasher Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Aide to join our team at ISH Dining Services. As a Food Service Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional service to our residents.

• Assist in the preparation and service of food, including meal preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Continuously clean food service work areas, including food preparation and service areas, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Transport food trays and carts to and from resident floors, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Use all equipment according to manufacturer instructions and follow proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Handle, store, and dispose of food supplies in accordance with department procedures and state and federal regulations.
• Follow facility policies and procedures for infection control at all times to maintain sanitary preparation and storage areas.
• Inspect food service work areas for evidence of rodents or pests, safety, or fire hazards, housekeeping and maintenance problems, and correct or report problems promptly to the Director of Food Service.
• Communicate with the Director of Food Service or Assistant Director of Food Service throughout the shift as needed to best meet the needs of residents.
• Assist the department head with preparation for state inspections, attend survey training, and interact with state surveyors as instructed by the supervisor.
• Attend in-service education as assigned and apply information to job tasks.
• Report injuries to self and others to the supervisor immediately.

• Must follow CMS mandate/guidelines for vaccination.

The Food Service Aide will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals. The ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects is required.
