Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the Highland Donor Center. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting whole blood and apheresis products from donors, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and efficient donation experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy collections, including whole blood and apheresis products
  • Interact with donors and coordinators to provide a high level of customer service
  • Conduct donor screening, mini-physicals, and phlebotomy
  • Observe donors for reactions and provide reaction care as needed
  • Conduct automation, including recognizing and responding to automation reactions
  • Recruit and convert donors for automation
  • Rebook donors for future donation appointments
  • Understand and perform to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Less than 1 year of job-related experience required
  • 1-3 years relevant people-facing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including Standard Operating Procedures
  • Basic mathematical aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
