Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach Respiratory Care courses at Columbia State Community College.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare for courses as assigned and adhere to departmental course syllabi and course minimum student learning outcomes.
* Begin and end all classes as scheduled.
* Organize, assign, and supervise learning activities of students in his/her classes.
* Maintain academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning.
* Evaluate students using a variety of methods and for informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance/participating and grades.
* Read Columbia State email and respond to student questions via email in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or higher and TN state license as Respiratory Care Therapist or a minimum of one year experience in field.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Teaching Experience
* Higher Education Experience

Special Instruction to Applicants:

Salary is $545 per credit hour. Workload adjustments will be made for faculty teaching classes where the number of contact hours exceeds the number of credit hours. A travel stipend may be negotiated at time of hire for faculty traveling more than 80 miles each week to teach their classes.
