Job Description

Moss & Company is seeking a highly skilled Leasing Manager to join our team. As a Leasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire leasing process, coaching and developing the leasing team, and fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere that promotes a sense of urgency within the leasing floor.

The Position

This role involves, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the entire leasing process, including market surveys, trend analysis, and sales reports;
  • Coaching and developing the leasing team to achieve leasing goals and maintain a high level of sales closings;
  • Fostering a positive and energetic atmosphere that promotes a sense of urgency within the leasing floor;
  • Conducting market surveys and analyzing trends to identify opportunities and challenges;
  • Preparing sales reports and communicating regularly with the Property Manager on leasing status, trends, and concerns;
  • Maintaining individual and leasing team's level of sales closings as determined by the Property Manager, Regional Manager, and/or Moss & Company;
  • Overseeing and handling lease renewal processes and requirements in a timely manner to maintain a high occupancy level;
  • Staying up to date with apartment community by regularly touring model units, vacant apartment homes, community amenities, and upkeep of curb appeal;
  • Overseeing the market readiness of vacant and target apartments;
  • Sharing the accountability in the customer service experience and support to residents and ensuring promotion of positive resident relations;
  • Working closely with the Property Manager in conducting a smooth and excellent move-in experience for all new residents;
  • Maintaining and updating information of available apartments information in Yardi enabling the marketing department to derive the correct information;
  • Performing other tasks as may be required by the position and/or directed by the immediate supervisor.

Professional Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience as a Leasing Agent;
  • 2-3 years of experience in properties with at least more than 400 units and customer relations;
  • Proven experience in managing a team of more than three (3) team members;
  • Computer skills required – Google Suite and Microsoft;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Positive and team-oriented mindset;
  • A good grasp of multi-tasking and is detail-oriented;
  • Enjoys assisting people with their concerns and other needs like finding a new home;
  • Ability to think of innovative ideas to improve customer service and/or leasing processes;
  • Desire to deliver an exceptional resident and colleague experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment;
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing preferred;
