Job Summary

As a Credit Bureau Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate data is furnished to credit bureaus, adhering to Metro 2 guidelines, and maintaining advanced knowledge of loan operation functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to credit disputes in a timely manner, researching and investigating to resolve issues.
  • Maintain credit reporting logs to ensure compliance with RESPA requirements.
  • Monitor metric reports from credit reporting agencies and FIS to identify and resolve credit reporting errors.
  • Communicate with loan officers, department leaders, and teammates to collect necessary documentation for investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Assist with reviewing and updating departmental procedures and process improvements.
  • Review and maintain various departmental reports to identify trends or areas of concern.
  • Manage incoming mail and outbound dispute letters.
  • Provide assistance and training to loan operations team members.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Able to analyze and record detailed information and produce accurate, high-quality work products.
  • Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, and present findings.
  • Able to manage and organize a high volume of documents.
  • Highly motivated team player with ability to provide interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
  • Knowledge of FCRA requirements and CDIA Metro 2 guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in e-Oscar platform.
Education and Experience
  • 2-5 years of Credit Bureau or related consumer financial experience required.
  • Experience using relevant banking and document storage software applications preferred.
