Benton County Health Department is seeking a qualified mental health professional to join our team as an outpatient adult specialist. We proudly serve all Benton County residents, regardless of race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, or sexual orientation, and regardless of ability to pay for services.

Job Summary

This role provides an array of services to a caseload of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring addiction disorders. Services are provided in office and in the community, ranging from individual therapy, group therapy, and case management. This role may provide specialty services, such as residential case management and intensive services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring addiction disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, as well as case management and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field.
  • One year of experience providing mental health outpatient services.
  • Registration as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
