Position Overview:
The Land Acquisition Analyst will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive risk assessments and detailed financial projections for our land acquisition initiatives. This position involves collaboration with various departments to identify and evaluate new land opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage due diligence processes for potential land acquisitions, including feasibility studies, budget preparation, and risk assessments.
- Oversee the development of initial community entitlement documents, construction timelines, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with external consultants and contractors to assess project costs and entitlement requirements.
- Prepare essential collateral materials such as maps, aerial photos, and exhibits.
- Engage with state and federal agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and obligations.
- Evaluate contracts and proposals related to land development projects.
- Conduct thorough research on zoning, engineering plans, environmental reports, and building costs.
- Maintain an organized database of files and documentation pertinent to land acquisitions.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, economics, finance, or a related field preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in land development or project management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for financial modeling, is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
