About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Tech PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. As a Surgical Tech PRN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during surgical procedures and identify any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of surgical patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital OR RN experience.
  • Call Required.
About Us

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center, and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children's Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is located on a 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County. The surrounding areas include Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, and Loxahatchee.
