About the Role

Bridges Healthcare Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team in a Jail Diversion/Adult role. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Court Liaison: Serve as a mental health liaison to the court, Department of Corrections, Department of Mental Health and Addictions, and Lead Mental Health Agency to facilitate meeting the evolving needs of clients with psychiatric and/or substance abuse disorders interfacing with the judicial system.
  • Provide Mental Health Services: Provide mental health and addiction services to assist clients in identifying and attaining their stated goals, including brief clinical assessments, evaluations, and interventions as requested by court personnel.
  • Case Management: Provide low-intensity support and case management services until a client is engaged in treatment, including coordination of service planning with the Department of Corrections, DMHAS, and various community agencies.
  • Consultation and Liaison: Provide consultation to judicial personnel and serve as a mental health liaison to the court assisting with the disposition of cases.
Requirements
  • Licensure: LMSW/LPCA currently license eligible, Master's degree in social work (LMSW) preferred.
  • Emergency Certificate: Emergency Certificate (EC) or willing to obtain when eligible.
  • Communication and Documentation: Good communication and documentation skills, computer literacy, and experience in counseling/therapeutic methods and best practices.
  • Flexibility and Autonomy: Ability to work a flexible schedule, prioritize and organize schedules/demands, and multitask, with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate with a wide variety of professionals and other community providers.

  • Sign-on Bonus: $7,500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: $3,750 in the first payroll after 30 days of employment and $3,750 in the first payroll after the staff member successfully completes their 6-month probationary period.
