What is the Head of Search Engine Optimization responsible for?

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Head of Search Engine Optimization to lead our SEO initiatives. As a key member of the Global Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in defining our SEO strategy, executing essential SEO tasks, and collaborating with regional leaders to enhance the company's organic search presence globally.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Head of Search Engine Optimization?

  • Formulate and execute the SEO strategy for Franklin Templeton's websites across various regions.
  • Oversee daily SEO operations, including keyword analysis, competitor research, and content enhancement.
  • Serve as the in-house SEO authority to guide, educate, and support regional marketing teams on content development and SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with our development team to identify and resolve technical SEO challenges.
  • Utilize various SEO tools to analyze performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external teams to enhance Paid Search initiatives.
  • Coordinate with regional marketing leaders and the Social Media Director to establish the SEO content strategy for each market.
What qualifications, skills, and experience are essential for success?
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in SEO with a demonstrated history of success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all facets of SEO, including staying current with the latest trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, setting objectives and managing activities to achieve goals.
  • Strong business judgment and ethical standards.
  • Capability to present a portfolio showcasing SEO achievements.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and regions is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in financial services marketing, with a solid understanding of financial services and related sectors.
